My first suggestion for rule changes is to increase or remove the limit on weekly transactions. The current limit is 4 per week. As someone who likes making frequent moves, I find these types of limits annoying. It's really hard if you have to make major changes to your roster or have a bunch of injuries. Thoughts?

If we raise the number up to maybe 8 or 10 per week, I'm good with that. I don't think it should be unlimited though.

Sure, that works for me. Second suggestion, and I don't know if this one is negotiable but I'll put it out there. I am in several leagues that use ESPN, and I like the interface on ESPN better than Yahoo. So if that is an option, I'd vote to use ESPN.

I personally think increasing adds hurts the league and promotes streaming mainly to win categories vs having the better roster and using strategy within the limits of your 4 weekly adds to win the week.

I will say this...with the new DL rules this season...I have had as many as 10 guys on the DL in NL only 5x5 roto...the league only has 6 DL spots and you can add up to 7 players each week if need be but it's a salary league with 10 keepers every year...so if you have 10 guys out of the lineup and they are front line guys, if you can't replace them...you fall WAY behind in counting categories...so as long as we have a plan for injuries and such..I'm good with whatever.

how many teams in that league, and how big are the rosters? Definitely agree with you that the 10 day DL affected things more this year, but with 5 DL spots to work with, you should be able to replace and keep a competitive lineup in this style league. Of course you can always trade for help if need be too. Any more than 4 or 5 and I feel like some teams will use em to stream arms on Sundays or whatever. In this format, the 4 adds have to be strategically used each week, to call up a prospect for your farm, add a free agent, etc. I haven't had any issues with not having enough adds to replace guys in my lineup in either league I'm in that use 4 add rule. Just my two cents here.

With the roster size in this league 4 per week should be enough. As the Isotopes pointed out the league is set up to help prevent streaming and encourage better strategies. Also to help reward those who with the best rosters rather then those with better timing or those who don't sleep. As always though if enough GM's are on board we will put it to a vote.

well put David. the better team should win, not the team who keeps a constant rotation of free agents flowing each week to gain an edge in pitching and offensive categories. With roster size, you'll have teams with 8+ SP's, sometimes teams that have punted saves in general, and loaded up on more arms, sometimes 11-13 on a roster with a handful of those already with two starts per week. Chances are there won't be many decent arms on the wire anyway, and ones that are available will be risky to your era/whip, but nonetheless adding that many more starts to your matchup that week to try to gain an edge in K's and Wins etc, shouldn't be an option. Injury replacements I understand, but haven't had any complaints about the 4 adds causing teams to not put a competitive team on the field each day.
